A new Finder study has revealed that millions of Aussies have been thrown off track by unexpected financial blows in the last year. About 18% of people said they were hit by a financial crisis, with the average cost being a whopping $5130 per person. With nearly half of the country having less than $1000 in savings, these hits can seriously hurt. Personal finance expert Sarah Megginson stressed the importance of emergency savings and being smart with spending as Aussies continue to battle the high cost of living.
